The CargoPod at Lee Wick Farm

Fishing at our reservoir (please enquire when booking), £10 charge for Pod bookings. Passes for nearby nature reserves, superb birdwatching opportunities.
Excellent family base for Essex and Suffolk coastline, countryside and tourist attractions.

Accommodation

Enjoy a luxurious stay in our CargoPod, the best way to glamp.

Now with four person log fired hot tub. This costs an additional £75 base price for one – two nights, then £20 per night thereafter. It is supplied freshly cleaned and filled with logs, kindling and a firebrick per night booked. Please enquire via email (info@leewickfarm.co.uk) before booking, it cannot be booked online as you must read the terms and conditions, how to use document and the health and safety document as it is not suitable for everyone to use. The log fired hot tub has to be pre-booked and pre-paid and cannot be booked on arrival.

We now sell bags of logs for £5 per bag for the fire pit and a BBQ lighter pack, with a 5kg bag of charcoal, a pack of firelighters and a box of large matches for £9.99. These must be ordered and paid for at the time of booking. They cannot be booked on arrival.

The concept is to bring your camping kit less the tent – so bring your bedding, towels and anything else you think you may need

Larger in size than our MegaPods, the CargoPod sleeps up to 2 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children on a double bed in separate bedroom and a large double sofa bed in the living area.

It’s situated on it’s own in a small orchard, with plenty of space to relax.

It really is the perfect way to glamp in a most lovely location.

A maximum of two well-behaved dogs are allowed in the pod. We will not accommodate large groups or anyone under the age of 25 without a parent / guardian. Proof of age may be requested.

  • Outside seating on your own large deck area.
  • Fire-pit (please note no camp fires)

Location

St Osyth is a small village to the west of Clacton. It offers a few shops and general stores along with 3 pubs and a good fish and chip shop. There are approximately 115 buildings around the village listed as historic or having special architectural interest including the Priory. Oyster beds can be found at the beach past the village.

There are pleasant walking and cycling opportunities around the farm and village. Fishing at our reservoir can be arranged as can passes for nearby nature reserves which offer superb birdwatching opportunities, barn owls, little egrets, curlews and and regular sightings of the once rare marsh harrier have been reported.

It really is an excellent base for Essex and Suffolk coastline, countryside and tourist attractions.

Colchester is a quick drive or bus ride away, and as England’s oldest recorded town there’ll be plenty of historical sights to see – have a wander around Colchester Castle, picnic in the park, then keep the kids happy by taking them to the Colchester Zoo, voted second best in the country.

The famous Suffolk Heritage Coastline is also a short drive away with towns such as Southwold and Aldesburgh to browse around, both are well worth a visit, or else head to neighbouring Wivenhoe for a drink by the quay, or Brightlingsea, ideal for crabbing with the kids and you must try Johnnie Macs fabulous fish and chips here, then take the little foot ferry back to Point Clear.

Picturesque Dedham is a short drive away, perfect for walks in the beautiful Stour Valley, boating (bring your own kayaks / canoes or hire a row boat), cream teas and visiting the famous artworks of Constable and Munnings.
