Enjoy a luxurious stay in our New Armadillas, the best way to glamp

We think they are just like a hotel room, but in a field!

Please note our Armadilla Pods are for adults only. The Armadilla area of the site is strictly for adults only, no children are permitted.

Underfloor heating, mood lighting, Ipod dock, Bluetooth sound system and DVD player. Internal loo and shower, small kitchen area and good storage including a wardrobe and mirror.

Outside there is a 2 person log fired hot tub set on the private decking of each Armadilla available for an additional cost:
£60 base price for one – two nights, then £20 for each night thereafter. Please enquire via email (info@leewickfarm.co.uk) before booking, it cannot be booked online as you must read the terms and conditions, how to use document and the health and safety document as it is not suitable for everyone to use. The log fired hot tub has to be pre-booked and pre-paid and cannot be booked on arrival.

We can offer a bedding package for the Armadilla’s too – so you can either choose to bring your own bedding, towels (and anything else you think you may need), or book a bedding and towel bundle from us (additional cost £24.99) so you have more space in the car.

We now sell bags of logs for £5 per bag for the fire pit and a BBQ lighter pack, with a 5kg bag of charcoal, a pack of firelighters and a box of large matches for £9.99. These must be ordered and paid for at the time of booking. They cannot be booked and paid for on arrival.

The Armadillas sleep up to 2 adults only, the comfy benches can convert in to one double, or two single beds, please let us know which you would prefer when booking.

It really is the perfect way to go glamping in a lovely location.

A maximum of one small sized and well-behaved dog is allowed in the pod. We will not accommodate large groups or anyone under the age of 25 without a parent / guardian. Proof of age may be requested.

Location

St Osyth is a small village to the west of Clacton. It offers a few shops and general stores along with 3 pubs and a good fish and chip shop. There are approximately 115 buildings around the village listed as historic or having special architectural interest including the Priory. Oyster beds can be found at the beach past the village.

There are pleasant walking and cycling opportunities around the farm and village. Fishing at our reservoir (not on site) can be arranged as can passes for nearby nature reserves which offer superb birdwatching opportunities, barn owls, little egrets, curlews and and regular sightings of the once rare marsh harrier have been reported.

It really is an excellent base for Essex and Suffolk coastline, countryside and tourist attractions.

Colchester is a quick drive or bus ride away, and as England’s oldest recorded town there’ll be plenty of historical sights to see – have a wander around Colchester Castle, picnic in the park then keep the kids happy by taking them to Colchester Zoo, voted the second best in the country.

The famous Suffolk Heritage Coastline is also a short drive away with towns such as Southwold and Aldesburgh to browse around, or else head to neighbouring Wivenhoe for a drink on the quay, or Brightlingsea, ideal for crabbing with the kids, you must try Johnnie Macs fabulous fish and chips here and you could even take the little foot ferry to and from Point Clear.

Picturesque Dedham is a short drive away, perfect for walks in the Stour Valley, boating (bring your own kayaks / canoes or hire a row boat), cream teas and visiting the famous artworks of both Constable and Munnings.
