Happy Hot Tubbing

I thought I would write a blog about hot tubs as our guests ask more questions about these, than anything else. Our hot tubs are all log fired, purchased from Naked Flame Hot Tubs. We decided on log fired tubs as we liked the natural look and feel and they fit well with Glamping and the great outdoors. They are quiet and don't bubble, so it's like taking a bath in the surrounding nature. The following properties have hot tubs at ... Read more

The CargoPod and Future Plans

Apologies for the slightly dark picture, we finished cladding the CargoPod on a slightly grey day in mid December (2016). For those who this is the first visit to our website, I hope you'll look at our CargoPod and think what a sophisticated looking Glamping Pod it is. For those who have stayed with us before, or visited our web pages from April 2014 (when the CargoPod was born) until December 2016, they will be looking at something rather alien to them, ... For a peaceful wintry weekend in the Pods some of our guests bring comfort food, their own blankets and a lap top to play favourite films on to have some 'down' time and relax, but if you fancied getting ... Days Out 3: Walton-On-The-Naze

Walton is a short 30 minute drive from Lee Wick Farm, just past Frinton-on-Sea. It's a traditional seaside town with the third longest pier in the country. The pier offers all the usual amusements and fun fair rides that kids (large and small!) might enjoy, plus tenpin bowling, a diner, coffee shop and bar. If you want to find out more about the pier, such as opening times and admission have a look here There is a lovely mix of old and new ... Read more

Days Out 2: Frinton on Sea

Just a short 20 minute drive from Lee Wick Farm, Frinton feels like an exclusive resort once you are 'inside the gates' (now railway barriers). Part of the town still has a feel of the 1920's / 30's about it, partly due to the selection of Art Deco Modernist houses at the far end of the sea front at the east of the town. If you love this style of architecture you wont want to miss out on a walk around ... Read more

Walking in Dedham

We love Dedham here at Lee Wick Farm and if we aren't canoeing along the River Stour, we can often be found walking Polly, our†Jack Russell in the picturesque countryside. The best part is that this beautiful part of the world, made famous by the artist John Constable, is only 30 minutes away from St Osyth by car. John Constable: Dedham Lock and Mill One of the shortest walks we do in the area is this one, †it's a circular walk and takes about ... Read more
